Although the Minnesota Timberwolves do not have a player who participates in Eurobasket, they had one who participated in America. Forward Leonard Miller participated in the tournament with Canada. With Canada who was lost in the bronze medal match on Sunday, it was an overall disappointing show for the 21-year-old.
Leonard Miller never dominated the way he should have with America
After he had lost Argentina in the semi-final, Canada fell with the score of 90-85 to the US in the bronze medal. Canada entered the semi-final 4-0 after gone 3-0 in group game and then won their quarter-final matchup.

I need something from their NBA boys Kyshawn George & Leonard Miller.

Americup should have been Miller a chance to shine. The only other NBA player in the Canada selection is Kyshawn George van de Wizards. Against lesser competition than what is seen in the NBA, this could have been a showcase event for Miller. In the bronze medal play, Canada played a USA team with a few former NBA players, such as Langston Galloway and Jerian Grant, but no one is currently on an NBA schedule.
Instead, Miller did not have the impact that Wolves fans hoped. In the loss of the semi -final, he scored 11 points and took nine rebounds. While he shot better in the second half, he still finished with fewer points than shot attempts (12). In the semi -final loss against Argentina, Miller only made two of his 12 field goal attempts.
It would have been nice to see that the 6-foot-10 attacker really dominated in at least a few games, but that was never the case. Miller never scored more than 14 points in the six outings. He only went 2-12 from outside the bow and did not show the aggressiveness needed to be a frequent visitor to the Free World (11-17).
Miller has hardly played for Timberwolves in his first two seasons
Selected 33rd General in the NBA design of 2023, Miller hardly played for Minnesota in his first two seasons. He appeared in a total of only 30 games for 84 minutes.
It is an important year for Miller, because he has a team option for the 2026-27 season. Although his option is only for around $ 2.4 million, the Timberwolves can still reject it if Miller still has a year of minimal playing time.
Miller should have been an opportunity to bring some confidence to the team with regard to his future perspectives. Instead, Miller may have given them less faith in him. It is hard to see, apart from a few injuries, how Miller receives regular minutes from head coach Chris Finch in a team with championship ambitions.
