The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns this fall on November 15, 2025 to Madison Square Garden, New York City for UFC 322, with the head of a Welterweight Title bolt between UFC Welterweight champion Jack della Maddalena (18-2) and former UFC lightweight champion champion).
In addition to a 125 LB-Co-headliner of the championship between UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko (25-4-1) and former UFC StraWweight champion Weili Zhang (26-3), the matchmakers also have a very intriguing Welonwards between No. 5 Ranger-Shaked Shaked Share. Ranked Carlos Prates (22-7).
Birmingham, Leon Edwards in England, comes in this fight of a two-fighter-losing skid, after he has lost his title to Belal Muhammad (UD) in July last year, before he ran a setback to no. 2 Ranked Sean Brady (Guillotine Choke) earlier this year in March and marked the first time he had ended in his career.
Edwards went to his third title defense against Muhammad and drove from 2016 to 2023 on an unbeaten streak with 13 fights, in particular the beating of Vicente Luque (UD), Donald Cerrone (UD), former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Diazweight, then -all -number Kamaru Usman Second Covington (UD) in its first three titles.
Sao Paulo, Carlos Prates of Brazil, on the other hand, after a successful Muay Thai career where he had many titles, the UFC’s Welterweight Division has made notice since he joined the promotion in February last year.
This started with four straight victories over people like Trevin Giles (KO), Charles Radtke (KO), Li Jingliang (KO) and Neil Magny (Ko), before they suffer no. 6 ranked Ian Garry (UD) earlier this year in April, almost that fight also won in the fifth and last round of their meeting.
Prates has since returned with another stunning finish two weeks ago when he stopped Geoff Neal (KO) with a rotating elbow on UFC 319, which marked his fifth performance of the night bonus in five promotional victories.
Will the former champion go back to his winning ways in November, or will the rising kickbokkamioen continue to focus his way closer to a Welterweight title shot?
