To get a good press conference you need smart questions. Today we just got a repeat of the old songs from the past. A few interesting twists, but nothing revolutionary.

There are of course a number of questions to ask. In a subtle way, those journalists had them in their pockets. However, they couldn’t really say anything about a clear direction.

Fans are waiting for answers about what comes next. They want to know why certain mistakes come back game after game. There seems to be no real solution to this cruel and very difficult question.

Leicester players seem to have a stress problem. They often make mistakes early and late in both the first and second half. Certain individuals are often out of balance and make mistakes that professional football players are not allowed to make.

As we said before. The lack of consistency and problematic behavior in these crucial minutes of football matches must be addressed. This is actually a psychological problem. It has nothing to do with skills or how good a player you are. This is also a matter of trust for the manager.

Ben Nelson, Ricardo Pereira, Luke Thomas, Caleb Okoli and Oliver Skipp are all crucial players for this team, especially defensively. They can no longer make stupid mistakes. To avoid that, they need to play a simpler game in these crucial minutes.

The other important question to ask is whether there are thoughts for a more direct playing style. You should avoid playing only backwards or going sideways. Watching two central defenders pass the ball to each other is a boring affair and accomplishes nothing.

Often these types of players do not have the skills to play a good pass over a long distance. We’ve talked about using Jeremy Monga many times, but no questions about him today at all. Are these journalists watching the games? Or are they just watching old interviews with Gary Rowett? As a Sky Sports pundit, he named Leicester’s owners. He talked about the spiral of negativity that the club has gone through in recent years. We have no interest whatsoever in what Gary Rowett has said in the past. He is here right now. If you think this was a factor of doubt, you shouldn’t be a football journalist.

No quality football questions are asked, because those journalists seem to have little or no interest in it. That’s sad and far from what you might think. These journalists should challenge Gary Rowett on these questions. If you don’t get good answers, you will quickly understand how the manager addresses these very crucial issues. Maybe he doesn’t have those answers in his toolbox right now. If that is the situation, it would be scary.

We just have to wait and see what kind of team he will play against Norwich tomorrow. There are no clues. There is almost no direct discussion about the playing style or the defensive approach. He didn’t say anything about players at Norwich that he needed to know about. None of the journalists appear to have checked Norwich. They didn’t talk about specific players, style of play or recent form, etc. Gary Rowett spoke about Norwich, but only in general terms, with no particular points to emphasize.

No one challenges Gary Rowett on these questions. At this point, these press conferences are more or less meaningless.

Gary Rowett looks like he’s had one press conference in three games. We have no indication of a more attacking style and it looks as before. The game comes, Leicester field a team, and what happens, happens. We have no idea what he plans to do against Norwich or in the future.

Deciding to play Bobby De Cordova-Reid will provide clues, but no one is asking questions in that direction. If you play Jeremy Monga or Abdul Fatawu you will see a more attacking Leicester team. No questions were asked about that, so who knows.

Starting to wonder why these press conferences are being given. They offer nothing useful. That’s why stupid questions get stupid or no good answers.

There are no improvements seen, other than changing the games to draws instead of defeats. We certainly hope we see a Leicester team against Norwich that is set up with this in mind. At the moment, Leicester are playing a game without a clear identity. This is a bowl of soup. It contains bits of Enzo ball and not much of Steve. There is nothing from Ruud and a little from Marti. We would like to see more clarity.

The defensive and attacking strategy at Leicester needs to be explained to all of us. This is an important call to get this team to the forefront. The pressure was terrible at times and the midfield was not really effective. If certain individuals continue to make foolish mistakes, this football team is doomed.

We can’t see or hear from Gary Rowett yet about how he will approach and emphasize this. At the moment he looks far from convincing in his argument. Hopefully he will convey his ideas. He strives to get the best out of a group of highly skilled individuals. So far this season, they haven’t built a good team unit.

We doubt a good result on Saturday, but hopefully we are hoping completely wrong. The change so far is not very visible, as possession at the back is still present. The back pass still seems to be the most important. However, hopefully tomorrow will see a complete change and a more direct approach vs. Norwich.
