~ The team left tonight for the five-match tour starting from October 12, 2025 in Jiangsu Province, Changzhou City, China ~

New Delhi, 10^e October 2025: Hockey India on Friday named the 20-member India ‘A’ team that will play a five-match tour in Jiangsu Province, Changzhou City, China from 12^e October 2025. The team is captained by defender and drag flicker Sanjay. The matches will be played against the Gansu club and are part of Hockey India’s plans to raise awareness of the development team.

The team, Jich, leaves tonight and consists of goalkeepers pawan, mohith Honnenahalli Shashikumar, defenders Poovanna Chandura Boby, Varun Kumar, Amandeep Lakra, Sanjay, Yashdeep Siwach, Sukhvinder, Parmod and the midfield including moirangthem rabichandra Singh, Vishnukant Singh, mohammed raheel mouseen, rajkumar friend, maninder singh and venkateesh dhananjay kenche.

The forward line will consist of Angad Bir Singh, Bobby Singh Dhami, Uttam Singh, Selvam Karthi and Aditya Arjun Lalage.

Speaking about the China tour, Chief Coach Craig Fulton said: “This is part of our plans to expand the talent pool for the Senior Men’s Team by providing the players in the India ‘A’ squad with the right amount of experience and exposure, especially ahead of a very busy year in 2026. We will closely monitor the progress of the players in this squad and see how well they adapt to pressure situations and perform.”

Former India striker Shivendra Singh, who will travel with the team as a coach, said: “We are looking forward to being in Hangzhou and gaining good experiences. This squad has been training together in recent weeks and has performed well as a unit. They are now keen to gain some match experience.”

Meanwhile, the India ‘A’ women’s team also left for their five-match China tour earlier today. They will play matches against Liaoning on their home field at the Liaoning Sports Center from 1 p.m^e to 21^st October.
