Rutuja Dadaso Pisal (30 ‘) and Navnet Kaur (60′) were the scorers for the Indian ladies’ hockey team
Hangzhou, September 6, 2025: The Indian hockey team of the ladies brought a strong achievement because they fought hard against Japan, a goal to draw their second Pole B match on the Women’s Asia Cup 2025. After the breathing break, the Indian ladies’ hockey team attacked, hunting for the equalizer. However, Japan did not give anything away and made it difficult for India. But in the last minutes of the first half, India found a road when Rutuja Dadaso Pisal (30 ‘) scored and brought the match level at 1-1. The two teams went on 1-1 during the break with the scores.

The second half started with both parties who watched a vigilant approach not to give up strength. India wanted to get their nose in front after they had finished strongly in the first half, and retained the Japanese disciplined defensive unity. In the third quarter, both teams ran out and the break went on with the scores at 1-1.

In the last quarter, both teams raised the Ante as they were looking for the crucial winner. And it was the pressure of Japan who initially paid off, because they got the goal a few minutes before the last Hooter. A penalty stroke fell on Chiko Fujibayashi (58 ‘) and she hit home to bring the score to 2-1. After that, India gave it all while they went looking for an equalizer and it came in the form of Navnet Kaur (60 ‘) from a penalty corner in the dying moments of the game. In the end, both teams shared the loot with the scores on 2-2 at De Hooter.
