~China is the third to finish twice in the history of Asia Cup ~
Rajgir, August 25, 2025: The Hockey team of China arrived in Bihar on Monday afternoon to participate in the prestigious Hero Men’s Asia Cup Rajgir, Bihar 2025, planned from August 29 to September 7 in the Rajgir Hockey Stadium.
China, a double bronze medal winner on the Asia Cup with stage finishes in 1982 and 2009, will be determined to go one step further this time and change the color of their medal. Currently ranked in 23rd place in the FIH world ranking, China are placed in Pool A next to hosts India, Japan and Kazakhstan. They will start their campaign with a challenging opener against India on August 29, followed by a match against Kazakhstan on August 31. In their last polar competitions, China will record on Japan on 1 September.
At the arrival of the team, China captain Chongcong Chen said: “We are really pleased to be in Rajgir for the first time. The welcome that we have received here is great. We are really looking forward to competing at our best and presenting our game to the fans.”
