The Champions League teams have been announced by the participating teams of this season and there have been some major omissions.
UEFA requires that each club mentions no more than 25 players on their A -list, with limitations that are included on who can be included. The regulations of the sporty body determine that eight places are exclusively reserved for “locally trained players”, also known as “HomeGrown”, and no club may have more than four “Association-trained players”.
These football players, regardless of their age or their nationality, have been registered at their current club or another club of the Association of the same country for three years between 15 and 21 years.
Clubs can register an unlimited number of players on list B, as long as they were born before 1 January 2004 and have been eligible to play for that club for a period of two uninterrupted years or three consecutive years with a maximum of one loan period to a club of the same association for a period of no longer than one year.
This is an important point because managers have to carefully consider who they can include in their Champions League team for the campaign, which leads to difficult decisions.
The biggest omissions of the Champions League as squadlists announced
Federico Chiesa – Liverpool
The Cult Hero of Liverpool was brought out of the squadron list by Arne Slot after the club had brought a number of highly talented attackers into the summer transfer window. The fact that Federico Chiesa is not home -grown player, finally cost him his place, with Rio Ngumoha instead.
The 16-year-old is classified as a player trained by the association, because he only came from Chelpool last year. That means that he records a place on list A instead of list B.

Rome – Kello
Napoli received a big blow just a few days from the start of the new Serie A season when Romelu Lukaku sustained a serious injury. The Belgium International is confronted at the treatment table for about three months after a torn quad muscle.
The ruling Scudetto champions signed Rasmus Hojlund on loan from Manchester United to fill the void that was left by the club’s top scorer last season.

Yves Bissouma – Spurs
Recent reports claim that Yves Bissouma is on the chopping block of Spurs, who want to discharge the difficult midfielder. Deadline Day may have come and gone in the UK, but the transfer window is still open in Turkey, Portugal, Greece and Saudi Arabia.
Mathys Tel was also omitted from Thomas Frank’s Champions League team list after signing Randal Kolo Muani on loan from PSG. In the meantime, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Radu Dragusin have all failed due to injury.

Gabriel Jesus – Arsenal
The Gabriel Jesus, the permanently squat Jesus, will not appear this season when he recovers from a serious injury. The Arsenal attacker was sidelined for almost eight months after an operation at his ACL. Mikel Arteta’s decision to omit him may suggest that he is still a way to return to action.
In the meantime, 15-year-old Maz Dowman was able to make his Champions League debut this year after his recording and could become the youngest player in the history of the competition.

Facundo Buonanotte – Chelsea
Given the bloated team of Chelsea, it comes for no one as a surprise that several big names have been omitted from the Enzo Maresca team. Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi did not reach the cut after not moving in the summer, while Mykhailo Mudryk is not available for selection after he is charged with doping violations. That case still has to be resolved.
The most surprising omission, however, must be Facundo Buonanotte, who just came on loan from the blues from Brighton. Admittedly, it would be difficult to see him get a lot of start in the Champions League, given the competition for places in the wide areas. But why did they sign it completely?

Arkadiusz owns – Juventus
Six years after the ripping of Serie A with Napoli, the career of Arkadiusz Milik fell from a cliff. The Polish striker scored only four competition goals for Juventus last season, who hope to sell him to a club in Turkey while their transfer window is still open. Strangely enough, Juve Milik only gave a new contract in April.

Neal Mupay – Marseille
After completing a permanent move to Marseille in the summer, Neal Maupay has already fallen out of favor with manager Roberto de Zerbi. This season, the French attacker is not part of the plans of the former Brighton boss, which is why he will not appear in the Champions League.
Senior players Amine Harit, Pol Lirola, Rubén Blanco, Ulisses Garcia have also been omitted.
