Portland, Maine-de Maine Mariners announced the re-signing of forwards Xander Lamppa and Alex Dipaolo for the 2025-26 season. Lamppa comes from the first full season as a professional in 2024-25, while Dipaolo joined the Mariners of the University of Colgate in March.
Lamppa, resident of Rochester, Minnesota, signed for the first time with the Mariners in March 2024 after ending his collegial career at Penn State University. Lamppa earned a contract for 2024-25 and returned to Maine and skated last season in 65 games and registered 31 points (11G-20A) that stood for fifth place in the team. Lamppa did its best work in the last third of the season and placed 19 points (6G-13a) about the last 22 games.
The 25-year-old was an alternative captain during his senior season in Penn State. He played Junior Hockey for the Austin Bruins of the North American Hockey League and the Waterloo Black Hawks of the United States Hockey League.

Dipaolo, also 25, signed with the Mariners after completion of his university career in Colgate. In 10 games with Maine he registered four assists. He was the second leading scorer for Colgate in 2024-25 and placed 26 points (11G-15a) in 32 games. In his four seasons with the program he placed 88 points in 129 career competitions, with 20 or more points in each of his second -year, junior and senior seniors.
Dipaolo, born in Oakville, Ontario, played three seasons junior hockey in the British Columbia Hockey League for the Coquitlam Express, Penticton Vees and Victoria Grizzlies.
