Just like Goldilocks and the three wear my journey with Lab Putters has finally found the one who is ‘just right’.
After I had tried my first Lab -Putter, the Mezz Max in 2023, I saw the brand a usual face on most Putting Greens. The science of Leugenhoekbalans and how it is claimed to help your game certainly resonate with me, but I had trouble making the putters I tried to work for my stroke. I found the forward pressure of laboratory shafts and so far difficult to fit into my swing, along with the visual form of the head. The link 1 was the solution for this press problem, but the only headline was a knife when I was used to playing a hammer form.
Enter the OZ.1i and finally all the options that match my game: no forward press, a heavy head and a hammer shape.

Performance and feeling
The OZ.1s Lie Angle Balance (Lab) Technology ensures that the putter face remains square during the stroke, so that the torque is effectively eliminated and promotes consistent role. There are two available models with the new header, OZ.1 and OZ.1i. The OZ.1i is the first putter in the laboratory that offers a facial deployment that, contrary to what you think, actually creates a firmer face and faster ball speeds. I have compared the feeling by testing putters in a local golf shop and can confirm it firsthand.
If you have never waved a laboratory tour before there are some unique attributes that you will notice immediately. First, the putter feels flexible when he waves him, regardless of your blow. I viewed Putters, Straight Putters and everything between a laboratory. Secondly, the central axis will feel strange in the beginning, but your battle and eye line will adjust. It takes you about 40 minutes on the well, but it will be of course.

Adjustment options
Laboratory wave Offers extensive adjustment for the OZ.1i. I was really impressed by the available combinations to help you build the perfect putter. The online build process was very easy to use and I felt confident in the model that I adjusted.

Performance on the course

I unpack my new OZ.1i in January and immediately brought it to Florida for a few rounds in stream song Resort. When I came from a long winter, I was excited to see how this putter would perform. It had been a whole season since I was one Lab Putter But picking up the OZ felt just like cycling. Contributing to this ease of transition was definitely the new hammer -shaped head that made visual adjustment easier. The balance of the putter also felt better for me because of the heavy weight in the smaller profile head.
As I said in the beginning, the lean of 0 degrees ashes were something that I really needed to match my well style. The setup felt much more natural with the OZ.1i and the accuracy of my putts has really been improved. However, the best performance of De Putter was in the speed control on longer puts. I could easily feel the distance and lay -puts in that comfortable gimme range that we all strive for with friends.
If the first lab model that has a insert, I was really interested in seeing how this would change feeling and ball strikingly. I immediately noticed the difference when smooth light strokes sent the ball quickly and straight. I have also chosen to deal with a classic “t” floor lines aid that works great for my ball unit while I use a cross to get my slant.
An aspect of the OZ.1i that I had to get used to was the way in which the face appeared when setting up square to my line. It looked more closed than I was used to and that led me to push a number of putts in the beginning. When I trained my eyes to trust the corner of the face, I rolled puts straight. It remains something that I look at during the training, and I am now part of my normal warm -up routine.

Final verdict
What started as a small, quirky packer company with a cult supporter has really become an important player in the industry. Lab continues to prove itself from the local Muni to the PGA Tour.
In my opinion, the OZ.1i Lab represents a completion of options in the General Laboratory Setup. The oz, as at any laboratory, is something you need to experience to see if it will help you. I would recommend trying one in a local golf shop to find the right model for you, and just like me you may find the “right” fit with lab
