The Sheriff’s Department of Los Angeles and the police of Los Angeles do not increase patrols or security of fertility clinics today after an explosion in Palm Springs that the bomber killed and at least four people were injured.
The Sheriff’s Department of Los Angeles County described the bombing as an ‘isolated event’.
“We maintain the safety and safety of all people as our top priority. We will continue to work with our colleague partners for law enforcement and Federal Agency to check the circumstances surrounding this incident,” said a LASD statement. “At the moment there are no known credible threats for Los Angeles County. We ask all members of the public to report something suspected of law enforcement.”
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office sent extra patrols near fertility centers on Sunday and said that the increased patrols of fertility clinics in the province will continue on Monday.
The FBI, Palm Springs Police Department and other agencies continue their research into Saturday’s fatal bombing at a fertility clinic in Palm Springs.
Researchers were planning to keep looking for physical evidence and to learn more about the bomb suspect who died in the explosion.
He was identified on Sunday as the 25-year-old Twentynine Palms Resident Guy Edward Bartkus, and the authorities said they investigated an “anti-PRO-Life Manifesto” that they were written by Bartkus.
Bartkus was killed in the explosion, which took place around 11 am on Saturday in the American reproductive centers Fertility Clinic on 1199 N. Indian Canyon Drive. The clinic was closed at the time of the explosion, but four others were injured on the spot. Those victims were released from medical care from Sunday.
In a newsletter on Sunday morning, Akil Davis, assistant director of the FBIs Field Field Office of Los Angeles, said that the authorities served a house search order on Saturday in Twentynine Palms, where some neighbors were briefly evacuated.
San Diego County Sheriff’s office said that although there are no known threats against clinics in the province, “from an abundance of caution”, representatives will perform extra patrols.
“Our thoughts are with those affected by the incident,” the Sheriff officials added. “We want to reassure the public that their safety and well -being will always be a priority for the Sheriff office and local law enforcement.”
The department also insisted on residents to report suspicious activities by calling 911 or their local law enforcement agency.
