Kyoji Horiguchi shares post after UFC Vegas 113 win and reveals he was fighting injured

Kyoji Horiguchi has a message for fans following his most recent win over Amir Albazi at UFC Vegas 113.

The former Bellator and RIZIN champion returned to the UFC with a bang last year by submitting Tagir Ulanbekov in November.

Earlier tonight, Horiguchi gave another tactical masterclass, this time against Albazi. ‘Karate Kid’ showed speed, superior striking power, elite movement and takedown defense en route to a unanimous decision win.

Although the 35-year-old raised his hand, he stated during the octagon interview that this was not his best performance and that he would improve in his next appearance.

The Japanese fighter wants that fight for the title and is undefeated in his last eight fights.

After the win at UFC Vegas 113, Kyoji Horiguchi spoke to X with a heartfelt message for fans and also informed them about his hand injury:

“Thanks for watching my fight‼︎ I was able to win the fight. Then I’m going to train hard again at ATT so that I can give my absolute best performance when the next opportunity arises! I injured my hand so I’m going back to Florida to get it checked out. I’m really happy I was able to win. Thank you all so much for sending me tons of power! #UFCVegas113” [Translated from Japanese]
