Chicago Cubs -outfielder Kyle Tucker was removed from Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds after an uncomfortable slide in second base.

Tucker was replaced in the line -up by Vidal Bruján, and the Cubs have now revealed what led to his removal from the competition.

According to the team, Tucker received a stuck right ring finger on the slide in the first inning, which removed it from the game.

During the first inning of the match, Tucker was hit on the right foot by a throw.
