The first formal interviews for the vacancy in New York Knicks have been revealed in former NBA head coaches Taylor Jenkins and Mike Brown.
Both men started as head coaches last season, where Brown was fired by the Sacramento Kings in December due to a loss record. Jenkins received the pink slip from the Memphis Grizzlies with nine games in the regular season in March.
Jenkins and Brown will throw their name in the hat for the Knicksbaan Less than two weeks after Tom Thibodeau was fired as head coach of the team after the defeat of the Eastern Conference in New York against the Indiana Pacers.
Brown has been on the secondary activity since 1997 and spends time with various teams as a top assistant or as head coach.
The most successful season of Brown as head coach was in 2007, when he led a LeBron James-guided Cleveland Cavaliers team to the NBA Finals.
Jenkins was the Grizzlies head coach from 2019 to a few months ago, so that the team led to three play -off performances, but never past the second round.
