The New York Knicks have a schedule place available for an experienced minimum contract, and a player who is reportedly the Eastern Conference divider is Ben Simmons.

Simmons, 29, has been a central point in discussions this season. The Philadelphia 76ers selected him number 1 in general in the NBA design of 2016, but he missed his first year due to a foot injury.
He returned for the 2017-18 season and was named Rookie of the Year. The LSU product was also a triple all-star and a double all-defensive member in his four seasons with the Sixers.
The career of Simmons, however, took a downward route due to injuries and an extensive contractholdout at Philadelphia. He missed the entire season 2021-22 and has appeared in just 98 games in the past three campaigns.
Simmons appeared in a total of 51 games (24 Starts) with the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers during the 2024-25 season, an average of 5.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 22 minutes per match.
Despite its athletics and size, the 6-foot-10 Simmons scored only four total points over five play-off games with the clippers last spring.
Celtics of Suns can offer Simmons a deal

The Knicks could add Simmons to strengthen the depth of the front court, but he has never been a long -distance threat. However, the seven -year -old veteran is still a reliable defender.
