New York Knicks Center Mitchell Robinson broke criticism that he received for expressing his condolences to the family of conservative expert Charlie Kirk and demanded opponents who “peel” him on social media.
Robinson received some return from predominantly Lefty fans after sharing a photo of Kirk’s wife Erika and their two children and writing: “I feel bad for his family” after the murder of the co-founder of Turning Point USA Wednesday.
The shotblocker then doubled on Thursday.
“I am never the type to get to the political area,” said Robinson, according to a message from New York Basketball on X, “But I just don’t understand how people are so sensitive and offended about someone else’s opinion or beliefs.”
“I respect your mentality and beliefs, but it is not disappearing what I believe and stand for you don’t have to like me, you can’t work, think what to do to never see what I do or say that I can give less about what you do or think of me!” he added.
“I don’t care if you are black, white, green or stripes such as a damn zebra or even as the same sex, I respect you anyway!” Said Robinson. “As a father himself, no child should grow up at the end of the day without their father or mother!
Kirk, 31, was shot in the neck on Wednesday while he spoke on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem. He was rushed to a local hospital before he was declared dead.
