KKR JV, Cyrusone to build a $ 4B campus

Energy Capital Partners, in Joint Venture with KKR, will build a Hyperscale Data Center campus of $ 4 billion in Bosque County, Texas. The project is set up at a total of 190 megawatts at full build-out.

This is the first investment of the strategic partnership of $ 50 billion between the two companies, formed for investments, development and solutions for data center for the demand of hyperscalers, intended to use capital in various developments for the next four years.

A joint venture between Energy Capital and Cyrusone partners will supervise the construction, while Calpine Corp. the wealth capacity will offer. Construction is already underway and is expected to be completed at the end of next year.

The upcoming Cyrusone campus will rise on land next to the Thad Hill Energy Center, a power plant from Calpine Corp. The two companies have also concluded an agreement to guarantee the current capacity, grid connections and country for this development.

The multi -phase project, called DFW10, will contain an initial power capacity of 144 megawatts. The first phase includes more than 190,000 square feet, with a final target of more than 700,000 square feet.
