Kiwi-bred Turn The Page N wins a snowy feature

Turn The Page N captured an impressive victory in the trotting race during Sunday afternoon’s competition at the Saratoga Casino Hotel. Turn The Page N drew post eight for her effort in the $16,500 Fillies and Mares Open and floated out a little early but couldn’t find a place.

The seven-year-old was eventually parked for the mile, albeit under cover, while another parked rival did some of the heavy lifting for Turn The Page N. Ron Cushing was behind Turn The Page N, who continued to battle over land before tipping over to the far side around the final bend, preparing to pass Waitforever N (Leon Bailey) in the final steps.

Turn the page and repeat

Waitforever was second for the second week in a row and for the third time in four starts in the Ladies’ Open this season when she finished second to Turn The Page N in the 1:57 mile.

The race’s favorite Miss Idaho A (Larry Stalbaum) finished third. Turn The Page N’s win was just her second start of the 2026 season, following a third-place finish at Yonkers last week. Cushing is co-owner of Turn The Page N with Kevin Sywyk.

The New Zealand interloper, who is trained by Heidi Cushing, paid $11.68 to win in the minor upset.

Live racing continues Monday with a matinee starting at noon.
