The North Korean leader Kim Jong Un accompanied exercises by the Air Force of the Nation and underlined the need for a step in war preparation, the state media said on Saturday.
Kim, who inspected anti-aircraft fighting and air stakes by the 1st Air Division of North Korea on Thursday, called for “all units in the entire army” to achieve “a breakthrough in war preparation”, KCNA reported.
Images of the exercises on the North Korean state TV showed a MIG-29-Jet that launched a rocket, which seemed to be a North Korean version of a middle to long-distance-air rocket developed by Russia, said Hong Min, North Korea analyst at the Korea Institute for National Unification.
So far, this month, KIM has supervised a rocket test, inspected tank and ammunition plants, made a rare visit to the Russian embassy in Pyongyang that re-confirms and supervised tank fire exercises and training of special operations with Russia.
Noord -Korea also closed the US Department of Foreign Affairs for placing on a list of countries that do not fully collaborate with US efforts for the fight against terrorism. Pyongyang has been placed on the list every year since 1997, the Yonhap press agency in Zuid -Korea said.
“The more the US provoking the DVK with unnecessary and inefficient malignant deeds, the further it will escalate of the irreconcilable hostility between the DVK and the US,” said a spokesperson for the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the help of the official name of the Democratic People’s Department.
“The DVK will … effective and correct measures to tackle American hostile provocations on all bulbs.”
