Kigali is the first in Africa to organize new level 1 coaching course

Rwanda has been announced as the first country in Africa that practically organizing the new level 1 coaching, with coaches from the entire continent and the wider world, which arrive at the end of October.

Focuses on club coaches and national team assistants, serves this practical “part B” session as the final phase of the first WPV coach education path, and offers a fascinating environment to sharpen technical skills and apply practical knowledge.

Open for everyone who completes the online “part A” before 1 October 2025, the course is delivered in English and is designed to build on fundamental learning with Real-World Coaching application.

Course dates

  • Arrival: October 28, 2025 (around 18:00 locally)
  • Delivery days course: 29 and 30 October
  • Departure: October 30 after 6:00 pm Local (extra costs if the flight requires that the candidate will stay until October 30)

Course costs

  • 220 USD to Rwandan Paralympic Committee
    This reimbursement covers tuition fees, accommodation (2 nights), food/drink and local transport. Candidates are responsible for their own international journeys, including the costs of the input visa (if applicable).
  • Those who have not yet started their share must also pay the 100 EUR course registration fees to World Paravolley.

Who should register

  • Active sitting volleyball coaches who are looking for official certification and practical experience
  • Prospective coaches would like to expand their skills and promote their play
  • Coaches who meet the requirements for level 1 and can complete the e-learning by the deadline of October 1 (L1 application form included here), or those who have already completed part A
  • Coaches who learn comfortably in an environment where English is the dominant language

Those who register but do not complete the required e-learning element can still be present, but are not eligible to receive their diploma certificate until the e-learning is completed.
