According to the company’s official release, the new Seltos is longer, wider and has a longer wheelbase than the outgoing model. Measuring 4,460mm in length and with a wheelbase of 2,690mm, the updated dimensions are intended to provide more cabin space and a stronger road presence. The SUV is built on Kia’s global K3 platform, which is making its debut in India with this model.
Updated design and appearance changes
The all-new Seltos follows Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design language. It gets a revised front fascia with the new Digital Tiger Face, auto-flush door handles and updated LED projector headlights. At the rear, changes include an integrated spoiler and a hidden rear window wiper. Higher variants also come with 18-inch alloy wheels with a sportier finish.Kia offers the SUV in ten monotone color options, including two new shades: Morning Haze and Magma Red.
Cabin, screens and comfort facilities
Inside, the biggest update is the large 30-inch panoramic display, which combines the instrument cluster and infotainment system into one. The cabin also gets an eight-speaker Bose audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a redesigned steering wheel.
Comfort-focused additions include ventilated front seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat with memory function, a relaxation mode and a panoramic sunroof on select variants. Kia has also added features like remote-based smart key unlocking and welcome seat functions in higher trims.
Safety and driver assistance
On the safety front, the all-new Seltos comes with a standard safety package that includes six airbags, ABS and hill-start assist. Depending on the variant, it also offers level 2 ADAS with 21 driver assistance systems, such as adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assistance.
Engine and transmission options
The SUV is available with three engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission choices include manual, iMT, IVT, dual-clutch automatic and torque converter automatic gearboxes, giving buyers multiple configurations to choose from.
Variants and ownership
The all-new Seltos is offered in four main trims; HTE, HTK, HTX and GTX, along with multiple option packages for convenience, premium features, ADAS and design upgrades. Kia has also highlighted its ownership programs, including extended warranty options and roadside assistance.
Manufactured at Kia’s Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh, the new Seltos is now available through Kia’s dealer network in India. With updated styling, added technology and a wide range of variants, Kia is positioning the updated Seltos as a practical option for buyers eyeing the mid-SUV segment in 2026.
