It was pretty clear from the start that as soon as the Utah Jazz Kevin Love in the John Collins deal acquired, love did not spent a minute on putting on the purple and white. More Intel has only confirmed that, but what the Intel has also confirmed indirectly is that the other assets that has been acquired from the Collins deal, Kyle Anderson may just stay in Utah.
Marc Stein Unveiled the newest about where things stand between love and jazz. In short, he would like to be * in another team, so to speak.
“Five-time NBA All-Star Kevin Love is actively investigating potential paths from Utah after being treated by Miami at Jazz as part of the three-team Norman Powell Trade,” wrote Stein.
No matter how the situation resolves, either through Trade or Buyout, Love will certainly play this for another team this coming season. However, this was not the first time we had heard about what Love wanted after Utah had gained him, and we didn’t hear anything about what Utah intends to do with Anderson.
That could mean that the plan is to keep Anderson. If the plan didn’t do that, why didn’t there have been an Intel about what they are going to do next? Nobody would have a problem with that decision. It is one of those situations in which it really can’t hurt the jazz to keep someone like him in the neighborhood.
Anderson is a Playoff artist who has earned the nickname “SLO-MO”, but he is still a good player who have been dependent on several teams in the late season. He has become somewhat a travel man in recent years, but that does not have much to do with him as with his previous NBA teams who just upgrade.
First it was the Warriors who upgrade to Jimmy Butler, then it was the heat upgrade to Norman Powell. From the appearance of things, the jazz will probably not be looking for an upgrade, but they can agree with another multi-team deal in which Anderson is involved, where another trading partner would like an upgrade.
Apart from what Anderson can do on the field, his contract is quite team-friendly, because the last year of his current deal is not gone, so Utah doesn’t have to rush. If he has a market, the jazz should entertain it, but if not, the team can easily let him take a place for a season and then let him go.
We will be sure when the move will be announced
Although the deal took place almost a month ago, the Jazz did not officially announce the acquisitions of love or Anderson. The team, on the other hand, announced the non-so-loved Collin Sexton for Jusuf Nurkic Trade almost immediately after it was reported.
If it becomes official, everyone will know what the plan is. Anderson is perhaps a jazz man. He may not be. Anyway, the fact that there have been leaks about Love’s next movement, but not Anderson makes it easy to conclude that the latter might be in the team, the opening evening.
