Former Thunder -Teammates together again
Kevin Durant and Steven Adams once shared the court in Oklahoma City from 2013 to 2016. Almost a decade later, the two were again teammates after the Houston Rockets have taken over in an exchange of the Phoenix Suns last July.
Before the training camp starts on September 30, Durant and Adams took the time to relax together. The duo was seen as part of a larger group outing, a sign of their renewed band both on and outside the field.
Rockets Ey Stronger season
Houston’s preseason starts on October 6 and leads to the long -awaited opener of October 21 against the defender Oklahoma City Thunder. The rockets come from a 52-win season, which earned them the number 2 seed of the Western Conference. They eventually fell in seven competitions for the Golden State Warriors, but the campaign still represented a big step forward after a .500 record the year before.
Now, with durant in the mix, expectations are even higher. The 37-year-old attacker was on average 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists last season. He remains one of the most deadly scorers of the competition and a veteran presence for a young selection that wants to fight.

Build around recurring core
Much of Houston’s 2024-25 schedule returns intact. Alperen şengün continues to grow as an All-Star big man, while Amen Thompson earned an all-defensive first team subtarties for his disturbing game in the circumference. Adams adds the rockets a valuable interior anchor from the bank, which strengthens their depth.
The arrival of Durant offers the missing ingredient: championship experience. A 15-way all-star and four-time scoring champion, he has experienced countless play-off fights. His presence should give Houston the lead in narrow games where Star Power makes the difference.
Strive for Glorie Championship
The missiles last lifted the Larry O’Brien -Trophy in 1995. Since then they have experienced pieces of competitiveness, but have not broken through to the final. With Durant, şengün, Thompson and Adams leading a balanced schedule, the optimism is high that Houston can take the final step.
For now, fish trips and binding sessions help set the tone. Once the season is coordinated, the focus will shift from the rockets to one goal: haunting a championship.
