Kelvin Gastelum brings the large weapons to help him with his upcoming collision at Nouch UFC.
Gastelum is short of four of his last six fights and urgently needs a victory. That is why the former interim title Challenger is calling in the help of ruleing middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev.
Well, to be specific, one of Chimaev’s wrestling coaches.
Even more specifically, NCAA Division I All-American and Mixed Martial Arts Prospect Pat Downey.
“Just super impressive how dominant that was, right? I mean, his wrestling was, you know, nobody was able to do that about DDP, you know, and these are some of the best guys he has fought,” said Gastelum MMA Fighting. “Izzy, Whitaker, you know, etc. He has fought in the Who’s Who’s who has been able to do what Khamzat DDP did. And you know, I think the difference was struggling and actually one of the boys he had in his camp was Pat Downey.
“Pat Downey was brought to my training camp in the beginning after helping Khamzat and helped me to finish the camp. This guy, Pat Downey, helped many MMA hunters, helped them to raise their grab playing, and I think that was a difference.”
When Gastelum is inside in the Octagon On September 13 he will be confronted with Dustin Stoltzfus.

Stoltzfus takes his 10th walk under the UFC banner and has alternated and losing in its last six trips, with the promotion a faint 3-6 general record.
