Kawhi Leonard’s Wild Free Agency -requirements of Raptors include Maple Leafs ownership interest

The representation of Kawhi Leonard asked for a number of things – including an interest in an NHL team – during free negotiations on agencies with the Raptors in 2019 that surpassed what teams can offer, revealed a new report.

The Toronto -star reported Tuesday that Leonard’s uncle and manager Dennis Robertson was involved in negotiations, asked for a ownership of ownership in the Maple Leafs also a owned by the parent company MLSE of Raptors and a no-show approval.

The new report comes when the NBA is investigating whether Clippers owner Steve Ballmer bypassed the salary cap by a “no-show” approval deal for Leonard with a sponsor of clippers, aspiration of the environment.

The alleged crime came to light after a long investigation by journalist Pablo Torre on his podcast.

Ballmer denied misconduct last week in an interview on ESPN.

The Toronto Star report indicated that Robertson also asked for ownership interests in external companies with which MLSE had relationships, while also called on the Raptors to match at least $ 10 million a year into extra sponsor income.

A source also told the star that Leonard’s camp said to the Raptors: “We don’t want to do anything” in terms of sponsor obligations. Robertson repeated the point after the Raptors said that deals or advertisements would require shoots.

Torre reported last week that Leonard, a four-year-old, $ 28 million approval agreement with aspiration, sponsored a sponsor of a clippers and one that Ballmer $ 50 million had invested after Leonard had signed an extension for which he had to do nothing in terms of promotion or approvals.
