Former Indian captain and Great Kapil Dev celebrated their victory in 1983 with teammates in his house on the 42nd anniversary of the performance. The former all -rounder crashed champagne in the celebration.

Kapil Dev can be seen that a bottle of champagne is popping and pouring it into his house in the presence of his teammates from the World Cup 1983. He can be seen all the smiles and celebrate the jubilee in joy while they also drank the champagne from their glasses. The World Cup trophy of 1983 can also be seen on the table top.

Kapil Dev and Co. History made by truncing the ‘Mighty West Indies’

The Indian cricket team, led by Kapil DEV at the 1983 World Cup, where they considered a kind of underdogs and had no chance at the start of the tournament.

However, they started with a brilliant 34-run victory in the West Indies in their opening match. They then registered their second victory and defeated Zimbabwe with five wickets. In their next two games they were confronted with large defeats, first against Australia against 162 runs and then against the West India with 66 points. In their last two games they made a strong comeback to beat Australia with 118 runs and Zimbabwe with 31 points to qualify for the semi -final.

In the semi-final against England, India screened an incredible six-wicket victory to seal their place in the final. They again faced the power West -India in the final at Lord’s.

India defended only 183 points and argued the West Indies for 140 runs and registered a historic 43-run victory to not only anesthetize their opponents, but also the entire cricket brotherhood and fans. Kapil Dev became the very first Indian captain who won a world cup, and it was a victory that brought about a revolution in the Indian cricket.
