It seemed that Justin Rose would have a challenging approach in the first play -off hole on the Fedex St. Jude Championship in TPC Southwind. His t -shirt just shot the water of the fairway hardly free and his ball was dangerous above the line of the penalty, so he had little room to stand.

But from 100 meters Rose stood inside and hit a fantastic shot to only 13 feet, turned on his left side and held up for a beat before he quickly moved his balance to the right and more stable ground.

Rose made par on the first play -off hole and eventually won with a birdie against JJ Spaun during their third extra trip to 18 for his 12th PGA Tour title. And the footwear that kept him stable on the first play -off hole was a big reason why.

Rose’s golf shoe of your choice is the Payntr Golf X Tour Proto RS, one of a number of sporting and technically infused designs from Payntr, a shoe company that launched its first pair of shoes in 2021 and is currently the fastest growing shoe brand in North America.

Rose’s victory in Memphis marks the first PGA Tour victory of the brand.

The brand was first launched with space options, but has grown since then to offer both spiked and spiny shoes. Rose’s X Tour Proto RSS was the fourth pointed option released by the company and are praised for mixing style, comfort and traction.

Many of the designs of Payntr are aimed at utilizing ground power reactions in the golf swing to help you play your best. To achieve that, every Payntr shoe has a drive plate under the insole.

“Each of our shoes is based on the needs of the golfer and the biomechanics of the golf swing,” Payntr co-founder and President Mike Forsey told Jessica Marksbury van Golf in May. “What happens during golf swing is that your feet want to run, or rotate. You need horizontal support, and the thing that really distinguishes us is this vertical push, pushing into the ground and that energy referee and responsiveness that the golfer can bring to golf swing.”
