The back-and-forth interview took place on Jan. 20, when Jones joined Trump’s beloved host as a guest on “Hannity.”

Tennessee Democratic Rep. Justin Jones weighed in on Fox News host Sean Hannity during a chaotic interview in which Hannity criticized Jones’ stance on ICE, while the congressman blasted the popular media personality for associating with “pedophiles and perverts.”

The back-and-forth interview took place on Jan. 20, when Jones joined Trump’s beloved host as a guest on “Hannity.” Things went south almost immediately when Hannity criticized Jones for comparing ICE agents to members of the Ku Klux Klan, accompanied by disturbing photos. After the host blasted the leader for failing to list the crimes committed by illegal immigrants in Tennessee, Jones decided to switch the script to the Epstein files, claiming he could list names of “perverts” hanging out at President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate. “So my question remains… can you name a single victim of a crime in your state by illegal immigrants, yes or no?” Hannity asked.

“I can name the people who have been criminalized by this administration, and the masked officers who are kidnapping people in this community,” Jones said as the host tried to interrupt.

Successfully, Jones decided to change the terms of the exchange. “Would you like to go through a list? Look at the list of pedophiles and perverts hanging out at Mar-A-Lago. Go through that list.”

Both Trump and ICE agents are under fire for different reasons: ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and the unrest in American cities like Minneapolis at the hands of federal agents. Just days ago, Jones was seen carrying an “Abolish ICE” flag as he walked into the new legislative session in Tennessee.

Then things got personal after Hannity accused Jones of being “lazy.” not have complete understanding of what white supremacy was or is. In response, the lawmaker accused Hannity of being out of touch. “They drove my grandparents out of Tennessee,” Jones taught him The independent.

“My father was a United States Marine; he fought for this country. Who did you serve, Sean, but your wallet?” Jones said.

The Democratic leader continued to blast Hannity for projecting that he knows what the American people want, being out of touch with using fear tactics and simply working for the rich. “You’ve never gotten out of your couch and picked up the phone to talk to a voter, to ever talk to them and offer their condolences, because you’re making them less safe,” Hannity said, pointing his finger.

“All you’re doing is using the same talking points to keep people scared because you make $45 million a year to keep these people watching your show scared so they don’t pay attention to CEOs who are taking away their health care because they’re letting their farms close down…you don’t care about the American people,” Jones said in a heated rebuttal.

“All you have is fear, Sean. You want people to be afraid, but it’s not immigrants, it’s the corporate CEOs who are screwing them over and making sure they can’t afford groceries or health care. That’s the one we need to go after.”

Jones’ criticism is supported by reports that food prices are sky-high. Bureau of Labor Statistics data revealed the cost of food at home has increased by a total of 2.4% over the past twelve months of Trump’s presidency. In December 2025, prices rose 0.7%, which was the fastest increase in one month since October 2022.

However, the president continues to falsely take credit for lowering grocery prices by “400, 500 and even 600 percent.”
