Five soldiers were injured after Quornelius Radford opened fire on Wednesday morning in Fort Stewart in Georgia.
The five injured soldiers were transported to a hospital and are in a stable state.

During a printer, Brigadier General John Lubas confirmed that the shooter Quornelius Radford is. Lubas said that colleague soldiers will tackle Radford as soon as he opened the fire.
“Soldiers in the area that immediately witnessed the shooting, and without hesitation, tackled the soldier, subdued him and then allowed law enforcement to take him in custody,” said Lubas.

The victims
The five soldiers who were shot were not identified and their circumstances were not immediately clear.
In a statement, the basis said that the soldiers were treated on the spot before they were moved to the Winn Army Community Hospital for further care.
The suspect
The suspected shooter was taken into custody at 11:35 am, the base said.
Three senior law enforcement officials informed the issue, the suspect identified as Quornelius Radford.
The army has not released additional details.
Radford was reportedly arrested in May for driving under the influence.
“The suspect, Sgt. Radford, was once arrested by local authorities for alleged drunken driving – but his commander -officers had not aware of that incident, said officials,” according to CNN.
“I really believe that he was arrested locally for a Di Duke that was unknown to his command structure until the event took place,” said Lubas.
