Jushua Tree wins Prix de Bourgogne

The favorite of 1.9/1 Jushua Tree (6m Bold Eagle-Ma Sissi James-Buvetier d’Aunou) came from cover and won the Paris Vincennes with Prix de Bourgogne (Gr International, purse 120,000 €, 2100 meters auto start, 16 starters aged 4-10 years) with a time of 1.11.3kr.

Jean Michel Bazire collected the 22 times winner in 32 starts for €1,151,150. Nicolas Bazire trains the Ecurie Olmenhof campaigner who has been racing at the front all the time. The 3.1/1 Go On Boy (9m Password-Balginette) came from behind Jushua Tree and finished second at a distance with trainer Romain Derieux on board for Ecurie Nixonn.

Third at home, a head behind second place, was 16/1 Inmarosa (7f Admiral Sacha-Varkava) driven by Francois Lagadeuc for owner Jacques Cottel and trainer Laurent Claude Abrivard. Hokkaido Jiel (8m Brilliant-Victory Jiel) with David Thomain riding for trainer JL Dersoir and breeder/owner Ecurie Luck.

Iguiski Sautonne (7m Village mystic-Sara Sautonne) finished almost fifth ahead of trainer/rider Matthieu Abrivard, who co-owns LD Abrivard. Next on the line was 38/1 odds Icebreaker (5m Chocolatier-Swiss Watch) with Eris Raffin up and 53/1 Jango Vici (6m Racques Dragon) held in check by Benjamin Rochard while driving.
