The partnership marks the first step for JSW Group’s new energy vehicle manufacturing business to build an industry-leading skills ecosystem, one that starts on the factory floor and extends across the entire manufacturing value chain.
The partnership will deliver a JSW Motors-specific curriculum, developed in collaboration with Tata IIS, covering EV systems, automation, welding, CNC machining, battery systems and advanced manufacturing, JSW Motors said in a statement.
“As we build our manufacturing operations, we need people who are ready from day one. The Tata IIS partnership gives us structured capabilities, a relevant curriculum and rigorous execution aligned to our timelines,” said Rupam Singh, Chief Human Resources Officer, JSW Motors.
Tata IIS was selected after a competitive evaluation of leading training institutes across India, the company said.
“At Tata IIS, our mission is to solve the country’s skills challenges by creating a next-generation workforce that is not only job-ready, but future-ready. This partnership with JSW Motors is an important step towards that goal,” said Venguswamy Ramaswamy, Designate CEO, Tata Indian Institute of Skills.
