Masvidal was at Madison Square Garden in New York City to watch Islam Makhachev put in a dominant performance to take the UFC Welterweight Championship from Jack Della Maddalena. Before that, “Gamebred” was engaged in a war of words with Danis via DMs on social media.
Danis was at UFC 322, but he was thrown out of the building after apparently instigating a brawl with the likes of Magomed “Chanco” Zaynukov. Masvidal recently addressed Dana White banning Danis from all future UFC events in a new video “Deathrow MMA.”
“Rest, [expletive]” said Masvidal.
Masvidal also recalled almost getting into a fight with Danis before hearing about the fight.
“He was beaten up by the Muslim Brotherhood,” Masvidal said. “They stole it from me because I was literally on my way to shouting this [expletive] donkey. He sent me a few messages and I was like, ‘Okay, cool. You keep messaging me, brother. We’ll have to see each other.’
“As I’m walking to my seat in the VIP area, I bump into Chanco. I’m like, ‘What’s up, man?’ The police were all over him. I say, ‘What happened, brother?’ He’s like, ‘No, just chill, bro. All good.’ I see his hands are bloody and I think, ‘No, something happened. What happened to you, dude? Look at your hand.’ He says, ‘No, no, you’re fine, mate. Small problem. I took care of it. ”
The inaugural BMF champion also said UFC officials rushed to his side, thinking he had something to do with the altercation. “Gamebred” said two UFC security guards who were with him vouched that he had nothing to do with the crowd fight, although that might have been a different story on another day.
