Johnnyred’s Victory crushes rivals in GLADA Trot

Northfield, OH…Nov. August 5, 2025…What’s going on at the Great Lakes Amateur Driving Association (GLADA) at Northfield Park?

Johnnyreds Victory, a five year old changed son of What the hill He absolutely destroyed his running game on this ultra-fast half-mile oval in Ohio on Tuesday (November 4), scoring a best-ever performance for trainer-driver Edward Miller, stopping the timer in 1:56.

JOHNNYREDS REPEAT

Johnnyred’s Victory quickly left the wings, posting all figures of 29.3, 58.1 and 1:27 as he rocketed to a 13-length victory with a final of 29, eclipsing his earlier mark of 1:56.2 on the larger 5/8-mile Scioto Down course two seasons ago.

In the winner’s wake, Fox Valley Naurtica was left, piloted by Larry Ferrari with Indianaslittlepete still half a length back ahead of Ryan Deaton.

Swan Leader placed fourth for Lauren Harmon while Lousraptor earned the nickel for Jill Brown.

Once the gate wings swung open, Johnnyred’s Victory, taking off from post two, seemed to have some company as Race Day (post six) and Vroom N Vonnie (post eight) were also flying, with Race Day finding a cozy spot in third with Vroom N Vonnie hanging around like wet laundry hanging out to dry.

After the half, Johnnyred’s Victory accelerated with his final half mile in :57.4, leaving him all alone at the wire.

In a post-race interview, Miller said: “I certainly didn’t expect a performance. I thought he was in a good place, but never expected a time of 1:56.”

“You know, he just did this on his own… he felt really good… and when I saw the 1:56 up there, I was really surprised because he did it so easily.

“I attribute it to the great care he receives in the stable!!!!!!!!”

Edward Miller also trains Johnnyreds Victory for Rebecca Sugg and Jamie Miller, piloting the trotter’s 2025 scorecard to 4-2-3 in 27 starts, earning $35,676 and $116,493 lifetime.

From 1 to 5 on the board, Johnnyred’s Victory paid $2.40 to his many believers.

The 28-year-old Miller, by the way, has a lofty .625 batting average (UDRS) on the bike this season with 19 wins in 37 starts (25 of 37 on the ‘board’) – in addition to his 128 training wins and his earnings well above $1,000,000 for the fifth year in a row.

The Great Lakes Amateur Driving Association is one of many amateur clubs throughout the United States that promote and support charitable causes that benefit local communities and include national organizations, as all GLADA members generously donate all driving revenues they earn during their events.
