In a message on its website ConsultWithAME On Wednesday, Ellison said the decision to move to John R. Wood came after feeling a “steady pull toward what’s next” over the past year.
According to Ellison, she was attracted to John R. Wood by the people and the company’s vision for support agents. In 2024, John R. Wood closed 4,704 transaction lots for a total sales volume of $4.80 billion, according to RealTrends Verified Data. This performance earned the company the No. 38 ranking in the country for sales volume in the 2025 RealTrends Verified Rankings.
This is Ellison’s second move in the past 18 months, after joining the leadership team at Alabama ARC Real Estate in August 2024.
“I have enjoyed my time at ARC,” Ellison wrote in a message on her website. “The people, the growth, the trust, the relationships. That chapter mattered and I am extremely grateful for it.”
In her role at John R. Wood, Ellison says she will focus on investing in the company’s people, building strong systems and creating clarity for agents and consumers.
Before joining ARC Realty, Ellison worked for almost 18 years ERA King Real Estatewhere she started her career as an agent in 2006 before working her way up to become the company’s Chief Operating Officer in 2022.
