Joe Rogan breaks silence during a Golden Globes nomination interview

Joe Rogan has revealed he wasn’t exactly snubbed for a Golden Globe nomination for Best Podcast. The longtime UFC commentator, who is also the most popular podcaster in the world, wasn’t even nominated, forget about winning a Golden Globe Award, which left the internet buzzing and speculating about what really happened behind the scenes.

Podcasts dominated the internet in the 21st century, leading the Golden Globe Awards to finally introduce a Best Podcast category in 2026.

The Joe Rogan Experiencewhich ranks third on the Apple Podcast chart and number 1 on Spotify in the United States, was eligible for nomination for the Best Podcast category at the Golden Globes.

However, the American podcaster confessed that he had to submit $500 to be nominated, plus additional paperwork, and the longtime UFC commentator didn’t want to pay the amount or put up with the extra hassle. During a recent episode of JREhe said:

“A lot of people say, ‘Why isn’t Joe Rogan nominated for the Golden Globes?’ And like, “Did you know Amy Poehler won?” I didn’t submit. So they asked me to be nominated for the Golden Globes, and you had to pay $500. And the $500 is for paperwork or whatever. I said, ‘No. “Like I don’t care.”

Joe Rogan doesn’t need an award to prove his show is the best in the world

Joe Rogan is convinced that the numbers and the charts are enough and that he doesn’t need any additional accolades to prove that his show is the best in the world. The 58-year-old added:

“I’ve already won. You can’t tell me I haven’t won. I’ve been number one for six years in a row. Suddenly you’re going to have a competition in front of all these people wearing tuxedos, and you’re going to say, ‘Now I’m not number one.’ Like, f*ck off. Yes. You can’t. I don’t care if I’m number one, but I am number one.”
