Kevin VAZ, President, Indian Broadcasting & Digital Foundation
In his 26 one Annual General Meeting, the Indian Broadcasting & Digital Foundation (IBDF) re -elected Jiostar’s Kevin Vaz as president. Rajat Sharma (India TV), Gaurav Banerjee (Culver Max) and R Mahesh Kumar (Sun Network) will serve in the position of vice president.
In his address, VAZ underlined the lasting power of linear television. “Despite geo-political and economic headwind, the foundations of linear television remain strong. It remains the foundation of content creation and brand structure in India,” he said.
“An overwhelming 97 percent of the original contents of India-Bijna 2.00,000 hours in 2024, was produced for Linear TV. It involves the public on a scale that is unparalleled by another medium, with rough 46 trillion minutes of annual display over 190 million screens,” Vaz Vaz preach ”
He noted that a revival of advertising income is expected, whereby the festive season offers an immediate boost and recent GST reforms announced by the government.

In the meantime, Avinash Pandey will take on the role of Secretary General, with effect from 1 October.
