Multi-millionaire prankster Jackson O’Doherty is officially cutting ties with his ‘party boy’ era of jet skis in the pool, cops at the door and endless corporate infighting.

After years of living as the Gold Coast’s self-styled king of chaos, the 31-year-old content creator – with two million followers on Facebook alone – has quietly indicated he may be done with the antics that made him rich, famous and often controversial.

According to estimates, Jackson O’Doherty will double his money for his waterfront home.

He has put his Queensland waterfront home on the market with a surprisingly quiet exit.

Located in Helensvale, this isn’t his infamous Playboy Mansion Down Under, where he hosted a $100,000 party, complete with jetpacks blasting out of the pool, DJs and police visits, before selling it for $3.1 million during the pandemic.

This is his other house. The ‘sensible’ one. The one that somehow still got him into trouble – from doing jet ski laps in the pool to waging a months-long war with the gated estate’s corporate body, so intense it ended up before the Queensland Body Corporate Commissioner.

Now, instead of viral stunts on the lawn, there’s a For Sale sign that gives his fans a physical glimpse into his supposedly ‘tamer’ Gold Coast life.

Influencer Jackson O’Doherty has a loyal fan base on social media.

Place Kangaroo Point agents Michael Bacon and Dan Rutherford have listed the property to go under the hammer just 12 days before Christmas, on December 13, with public inspections due to start this week.

Unlike his previous high-octane Octagon House – the one with towering dementors, circus performers and nighttime chaos – this Helensvale house is a complete change in atmosphere.

Located on a quiet, prime canal strip on a gated estate, it has private access to a pontoon, expansive outdoor spaces and the kind of layout you’d expect from someone who wants to calm things down.

ā€œThis five-bedroom house with direct canal access and a swimming pool offers a phenomenal opportunity,ā€ say the agents, describing high ceilings, a neutral color palette, a grand entrance hall, a spiral staircase and a spacious open-plan living and dining room.

A covered outdoor area flows into a fully enclosed garden, mature gardens, a stunning in-ground swimming pool and a waterfront terrace, with a powered pontoon for water sports enthusiasts. The home also features a 5 kW solar system, air conditioning, security cameras and Crimsafe screens, and is close to Hope Island Marketplace and the Hope Island Resort Golf Course.

It may seem an unlikely choice for the online wild child, but the move is financially smart.

Mr O’Doherty bought the property for $1.25 million just six months before Covid hit, and current estimates put it at between $2.2 million and $2.45 million.

With housing and water supplies super tight in South East Queensland and the prestige market still fierce, he could make a big buck.

The house also served as his escape from madness – although he still filmed and trained there.

While he remains classic Jackson online, getting made fun of with a head shave and often sharing life with fans, the sudden urge to sell raises the obvious question of where to go for the unpredictable social media star.

The house will go under the hammer on December 13 at 10 a.m.
