It is claimed that the player asked to participate CHELSEAthe club has agreed a deal for the defender and it was only a matter of time before an announcement was made by the club’s hierarchy.

In a fresh twist, The team have reported that Chelsea could indeed return with a bid this month, and that Rennes could ultimately accept a bid if someone arrives worth €50m or more, which equates to £43.3m
Now, Air sports report that Jacquet has privately ‘expressed a preference’ for a move to Stamford Bridge, which could be decisive in determining what the future holds for the Rennes star.
French football expert Julian Laurens recently compared the talented Jacquet to Arsenal star William Saliba: “I think he’s the real deal,” Laurens said Air sports. ‘I know he is only 20 and has very little experience, not even in Ligue 1, because he has not played for France, neither in the Champions League nor in the Europa League.
‘There’s still a long way to go for him, but he’s been impressive since being recalled from loan in the second division last season.
‘He is a player that Liam Rosenior will know because he has played against him and seen him in action. You can’t really get it wrong because he’s great and he’s going to be great.
‘He reminds me a bit of William Saliba when he appeared on the scene in Saint-Etienne in France.
‘The question is to what extent they appreciate the potential and talent, because he is only 20 and you pay a lot for someone who has not proven much because he has not played many games.
“So how many are CHELSEA ready to pay? Rennes wants more than Man City paid for Doku, namely 64 million euros. “So Chelsea will have to pay at least £60 million, which is a lot of money for such a young player.”
