Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani hopes to debut at La Card in January

DWCS winner Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani announced his arrival at the UFC with a highlight Reel Knock-Out about Jack Congdon in week 4 of the 2025 season on Tuesday evening.

Lebosnoyani (9-2) Got the call to fight at DWCS after a first round entry victory on LFA 206. A 7-1 LFA run in a call to the big show was perfectly timed for the welter weight.

“I am so excited to be here. It is a bit surreal, but at the same time I have the feeling that the timing is right,” Lebosnoyani said reporters, including Cageside Press at his scrum after the fight.

“I am now where I belong.”

The wild part about the fight for many is that Lebosnoyani is primarily a grappler with a Jiu Jitsu game at a very high level. I think they have added main kicks to BJJ 101?

“I am a jiu-jitsu man right? That is what I grow up, but I have done a lot of time and effort in my striking. At that moment I have been there earlier in one of my other battles, and I took a bit of a second and did not immediately grab the moment,” he said.

“As soon as I saw him dazed, I was like oh, we had to go. I ran inside, threw the overhead that I worked on this whole camp and gave the victory.”

Lebosnoyani had an aura of confidence during the short process that comes to the UFC Apex and actually fights DWCs, but the video packages that the promotions had together showed that even more. For the good weight, it is all part of the process to improve and perform.

“I feel that fighting like a wave of being confident is insecure, and you just have to ride on that wave. You have to speak what you think in existence and bring yourself 100%,” he said Cageside Press.

“In terms of trust, I have more than certain that I was present. I tried to be as present as possible. I was just as much as possible at the moment, and I think trust follows.”

So what would be ideal for the newly signed UFC-Welterweight? A home game would be fun.

“I am for anything. I come from Los Angeles, so I would like to fight in my city. I think there is a card in January. I am literally in the camp all year round,” he said.

“I keep my weight exactly at the point, so that the UFC doesn’t have to worry about it. You call me, I’m going to show up and I’m going to perform.”
