The Utah Jazz has already gave the Minnesota Timberwolves a good number of favors since 2022. Most recently they cut Johnny Juzang quality wing for him to get a perfect flyer with the Timberwolves. She would actually have a four-way idea with jazz and Timberwolves done again, even if they did not send any of their players to the Timberwolves.

Minnesota actually gets a potential replacement for Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Utah would not be the ones who give it to them, but their involvement is given the trade. Regarding why the jazz would agree to something like that, Pincus explained why.
“Utah essentially gets a free look at Bufkin. The reconstruction jazz acquires young players to see which bangs. Add an almost 22-year-old former lottery picking for nothing but a weak second Rounder from 2028 (the lowest of five teams) seems like a no-brainer,” Pincus wrote.
He added that if such a deal were to take place, the Jazz would have confronted their already reduced selection, because they would add to more players to a selection that the power has 16.
“Roster space is an issue. The team is acquiring Georges Niang from the Boston Celtics, and with Bufkin and Hyland, the Jazz would need to get out of three players before the start of the regular season. Kevin Love is expected to be traded or cut, but Utah would have a couple of months to sort out the End of the Roster (Perhaps KJ Martin, SVI Mykhailiuk or Kyle Anderson), who would only take the 2025-26 season on his deal, can take a few days ripe for exemption to play abroad. “
To be honest, it is not the worst situation to be in, but it would raise asking about who would stay and who would go.
Jazz has had a good history with the development of unknown young talent
Bufkin has not proven much since he started his NBA career in 2023. There is not much use of that. Just know that the jazz was successful with the development of boys who had proven very little to nothing when they came to the team.
Georges Niang and Royce O’Neale are among their greatest success stories, and their time with jazz has played a factor in why they are still in the NBA. It would not be obvious that Bufkin would have a similar trip, but the track record of Utah is good enough that there would not be much reason not to try something like this if an exchange like this was on the table.
