Jamie Carragher and Mohamed Salah have hit the headlines again after the Sky Sports pundit slammed the Liverpool striker on Monday Night Football.

Salah caused quite a stir on Saturday with his explosive interview in which he accused someone at the club of throwing him under the bus.

This came after Slot left him on the bench for the third game in a row, during Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds at Elland Road.

The aftermath of Salah’s comments was nothing short of chaotic. A secret meeting was reportedly held in Liverpool on Sunday, with management ultimately deciding to punish Salah by leaving him out of the squad to travel to Italy.

Much has been said in the media, with the Liverpool-based media calling out Salah for his outburst.

Jamie Carragher also did not miss the opportunity to go to the 33-year-old. Carragher, who has a history of harshly singling out Salah, raged for eight minutes on Monday Night Football, calling him a ‘disgrace’ and throwing many personal attacks at the Egyptian winger.

His rant on Sky Sports did not go down well with Liverpool supporters, with fans calling out their own legend on social media for some of his ridiculous versions of one of Liverpool’s greatest ever players.

Liverpool fans are slamming Carragher for his comments about Salah

Fans were quick to criticize Carragher for his comments.

Some expressed surprise that Carragher belittled him for his failure to win with Egypt and his history with Chelea. One said: “You’re the one who’s a disgrace. Calling a Liverpool legend a ‘reject’ from Chelsea and bringing up Egypt’s failure to win an Afcon with him is shameful. He’s won us two league titles. He’s done more for the club than you.”

Some fans admitted that the former Liverpool defender made some valid comments about Salah, but these were overshadowed by the blatant personal attacks.

One said: “Some valid points are overshadowed by some comments that show it is clearly personal to you. Fully proves Salah’s point.”

Another said: “Some valid points but overshadowed by the low blows as you don’t know when to stop as usual. Playing in the gallery. It’s almost like enjoying the attention and thrill of using your platform to rob these players. It was just awkward all around. Mo is a legend.”
