Jacksonville Jaguars star Josh Hines-Affairs and his wife, Kaitlyn, have revealed that their 7-year-old son Wesley fully recovers from leukemia after a seven-month fight against the life-threatening disease.

The couple made the announcement in a sincere social media post on July 26, in addition to news that the foundation of Hines-Ales, Four One for All, will launch a seasonal initiative called Four One for Hope. The campaign supports four cancer-related non-profit organizations during the NFL season of 2025.

“We recently received the good news that Wesley is on his way to a full recovery,” Hines said In a statement according to ESPN.

“We are the dedicated team of doctors, nurses and carers who have contributed to the well -being of our son and have advised us this time. Our goal is to ensure that families who feel similarly feel the same level of love and support as we do.”

In an emotional video, Kaitlyn told the moment they realized that something was seriously wrong. “We spent the weekend in Disney. We came back on a Monday, and that night he bleed a bit out of his tooth. I just hug him because he cried and he started bleeding even more in the gums. Then he started catching fever. It just didn’t get better and the bleeding was consistent,” she said.

After Wesley was diagnosed with acute promyelocytar leukemia, a rare form of blood cancer, Hines-Ales put everything else aside. He withdrew from traveling to Indianapolis to play in the season finale of the Jaguars’ 2024 at the beginning of this year after Wesley was diagnosed with leukemia.

“Then nothing else mattered,” he said.

Dr. Bechtel, who helped the family by guiding the treatment, told them from the start that the journey would be long.

“We are very grateful and just blessed to be in Jacksonville to get this relentless support we have received,” said Hines-ALLE. “I know there are families who also have to deal with this.”

“Wesley is doing great,” Kaitlyn added. “He swims every day. He runs around. He saves.” Hines-Affairs added: “He is again the big brother he is.”

Van Wesley is expected to complete his last chemotherapy session in Nemours Children’s Health in Jacksonville in August.

To honor their son’s struggle, the four One for Hope campaign will do that spotlight Another charity in children every month during the NFL season.
