Jacob Devaney

The Irish youngster impressed at youth level and captained several sides at Carrington.

However, this winter it was decided that he needed to go out and experience some senior first-team action for the next stage of his development. As a result, he was loaned out to Scottish side St Mirren and made his debut in an impressive 1-0 win over league leaders Hearts of Midlothian last weekend.

Devaney also revealed after the match that he wants to emulate current midfielder Kobbie Mainoo by breaking into the first team at Old Trafford in the future.

He moved one step closer to realizing this dream with another strong performance in his side’s 2–1 win over Airdrieonians FC in the Scottish Cup.

Devaney opened the score with a sublime effort.

The ball was passed to him and he took one touch outside the area, scoring a wonderful finish into the top corner above the opposition keeper.

He played 63 minutes before being substituted and will be hoping to make another start at Kilmarnock on Wednesday, where he could go toe-to-toe with former team-mate Joe Hugill.

Emma Watson

The Manchester United Women star moved to Mexico this winter to gain first-team experience for Tigres.

It was a surprising move, but it paid off as she scored her first goal for the club in a 4-2 win over Cruz Azul.

She was played through on goal in a one-on-one situation, without making any mistakes.

Watson calmly tucked the ball into the bottom corner with her left foot to make her mark in Mexico. The teenager was so impressive that she was named player of the match by the club’s website.

She will be in action against Forge the following Tuesday evening (Wednesday morning GMT).
