In a recent interview with Submission RadioThe Aussie star made it clear that he is planning to go for the finish from the opening bell against Islam Makhachev.
He said, “I’m going for it. I would love it [it]Of course that would be the best case scenario to get the finish. I can see it happen, and I see it blowing the roof of MSG and removing the pound-for-pound number one without a doubt. A finish would be the dream. ‘

The Welterwet champion acknowledged that Makhachev will not repeat Muhammad’s fault in Montreal by standing with him and acting. Instead, he expects the Dagestani to lean on its wrestling.
He explained, “They are different hunters, different challenges. Of course there are some similarities in the wrestling style, but I certainly see Islam as a completely different challenge – more a finish, more powerful at the feet, so different challenge, and I am enthusiastic about it.”
