IU Basketball plays Baylor in an exhibition on Sunday 26 October in Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Tip-off-time and a TV indication for the exhibition will be announced at a later time. Tickets are for sale to the public for the “Indy Showdown” on Monday, August 29 at 10.00 am ett at Ticketmaster.com.
De Beren, coached by Indiana resident Scott Drew, come from a season of 20-15 and a 9 seed in the NCAA tournament 2025. Baylor beat Mississippi State 75-72 in the first round of the tournament before he fell to Duke with 89-66.
Baylor won the NCAA championship 2021 and finished his title run with an 86-70 victory against Gonzaga in Lucas Oil Stadium.
Just like Indiana, Baylor had a total schedule restarting in the low season. De Beren does not return any contribution from last season.
Rob Wright, a striking first -year student for Baylor last season, transferred to Byu. VJ Edgecombe was the number 3 Pick in the NBA design of June by Philadelphia. Senior guard Jeremy Roach graduated, just like senior attacker Norchad Omier.
The new look Baylor Roster is expected to be led by McDonald’s all-American first-year student Tounde Yessoufou, fifth-year senior guard Obi Agbim (Wyoming), senior wing Daniel Skillings Jr. (Cincinnati), senior wing Michael Rataj (Oregon State) and Junior Big Man Juslin Bodo Bodo Bodo Bodo (High Point).
The two programs met only once and that competition was an 83-47 IU victory on December 13, 1980, in Bloomington.
Iu’s other exhibition match will be against Marian University on Friday 17 October in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

Indianapolis with new rules that NCAA Division I-Schools allow to compete against each other in exhibition matches, the Basketball Team for men in Indiana has planned an exhibition match against Powerhouse-Big 12 opponent Baylor in Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Sunday 26 October. The Indy Showdown is managed by veteran events promoter BDG sports, which announcement on Friday.
Earlier, NCAA rules only allocated settings of Division I in an exhibition if the game for a good cause was played. But the rules were changed this year, so that the schools were offered this opportunity as long as no class time was missed.
“Adding Baylor to our exhibition schedule was an important piece to our non-conference slate,” said Indiana head basketball coach Darian Devries. “Baylor is always a talented, well -coached team that will help us prepare for our season. We are delighted to present this game for Hoosier Nation in Indianapolis.”
For IU this is the first of two games to be played this season in Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Hoosiers will play Louisville there in a nationally broadcast CBS game on Saturday 6 December.
Devries, who takes his first season as head coach at IU, has a top 10 portal class, per 247 Sports, led by Tucker Devries (West Virginia), Lamar Wilkerson (Sam Houston State) and Forward Reedy (Davidson).
Circle City has a special meaning in the history of the Baylor men’s basketball program when the Bears won the National Championship 2021 there during the Season by Pandemic Impacted. In each of the last six seasons, Baylor is one of only five schools mentioned in the top 10. Head coach Scott Drew led De Beren to their program-best sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament performance a year ago and reduced his selection for the coming season with a top 25 class of the portal according to 247 Sports. Michael Rataj (Oregon State), OBI Agbim (Oklahoma State), Dan Skillings (Cincinnati) and JJ White (Omaha) heads the list of Portal Newcomers.

Records and statistics that have been collected in the exhibition matchup will not count for the regular season totals.
