The rules of the play-offs state that the top three finishers get a place in the main draw, while the fourth only guarantees a qualifying spot, but this year all four semi-finalists from the US play-offs were granted entry into the main draw.

The only No. 1 seed not to advance to the quarterfinals (semifinals for JUCO) is Grandke, who lost 7-5, 6-2 today to West Florida’s Diego Duran.
