It is not losing weight to get healthy, it will be healthy to lose weight

It is a very powerful but simple concept. If you first concentrate on losing weight and not on the health part that you become healthy or not, but healthy people will not really arrive if you are really healthy, you will not be too heavy in the first place.

The health indicators are:

• No desires

• No hunger between meals and can go for a long period without being hungry or irritable, edgy and emotional.

• Increase stress tolerance

• Increase the quality of sleep

• Increase endurance and energy, mental cognitive function, focus and concentration

• Great skin

• Great digestion

If you first focus on getting healthy, you can initially lose weight or not. The reason why this is valuable to understand is because if a person does the program for one or two weeks and they don’t lose and they think it doesn’t work. But they have improvements in the above health indicators and even their waist is shrinking, they would probably give up that it doesn’t work when it worked. It just takes some time before the weight actually comes loose.

Atrophy – This really relates to women who go through the menopause, because they often end up with atrophy. That is a loss of muscles. They hardly have the amount of muscles in their bodies anymore and so it is limp and they think it’s just fat. No, it’s actually a loss of muscles. It is called atrophy. That must heal that lasts for some time and because it heals that muscle will be heavier than the fat per the same volume. So you cannot see any change in weight loss. But you are going to see change in how you feel and in the health indicators.

It is an important concept to focus on.

It is first health and then the weight loss.

This really became when a patient came in for Dr. Berg to see, she was the 23-year-old woman who was largely overweight. She was 325 pounds. Dr. Berg has put her on the program. In the first month she lost zero weight. Dr. Berg was really upset, but she thought it was good. While he spoke with her, she told him that I just feel so much, better my skin is better, my clothes are fitting but not losing weight, but she was so happy with it. Dr. Berg was not happy and then she lost 21 pounds the second month. By the third month she had fallen 63 pounds and at that time he had this enormous realization.

People must first become healthy and then lose weight.

Often when you go to your doctor and they said you are healthy. Your blood test and cholesterol tests are normal. A lot of time in this hormonal balance will not appear until the advanced phases, especially if you end up in the adrenal function.

Doctors never check insulin with a sober insulin test. There is a test called HOMA IR. It measures sober insulin. You can have normal glucose, normal cholesterol and have a high insulin, that is abnormal.

Another good test to evaluate would be the CAC, which is called calcium score of the coronary artery. That is a good thing to see how healthy you are internally in your corner artery to see if it is calculated or not.

You will be much better off if you first focus on health. The weight loss comes off when a by -product of becoming healthy.
