What is the app?
This app is designed with ease of use in mind. When you need to get tested, the Better2Know Web App streamlines your booking process and helps you book the test you need straight away.
Follow this link to access the app, which you can download to your mobile device. On your device, simply tap the icon to open it.
This is ideal for people who are new to Better2Know and need to book an STD test quickly.
The Better2Know Web App is currently only available to patients in the UK.
How does it work?
When you open the app on your device, you must use the default browser on your device (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.). You will be taken to the main page:
Choose a key
The first step is choosing your test. If you know the test you are looking for, you can search for it in the search bar. If you’re not sure which test you need, you can browse our tests and screens via three filters:
- Test Type: Clinical vs. Home Test
- Test category: sexual health versus health and well-being
- Test group: Includes general health, individual STD testing, cancer screening and more
If you are looking for a home test, you will be taken directly to the Secure checkout.
Select a location
If you prefer a test in a clinic, you can search for a clinic that provides the test you want. Search our established clinic locations or by city. Search for your nearest city and you will get a list of clinic locations near you.
Secure checkout
Once you have selected your preferred test and testing method, you will be redirected to a secure payment page, where you will be required to provide a number of details, including:
- Your preferred appointment date and time (if you book a clinic test)
- Your full address (if you order a home test)
- Your full name, date of birth and gender
- Your preferred contact method, including phone call or email
Enter your details so that you can proceed to the final checkout, where you will be required to provide your card details. Once your payment has been processed and your appointment has been confirmed, you will receive an email with all your appointment details. If you order an at-home test, you will receive an email with your proof of purchase and information about when your test will arrive.
