Insider claims Isak’s departure from Liverpool

Alexander Isak has been criticized since his big-money move to Liverpool and he is now being backed to secure a departure.

Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has now given his opinion on the Swedish international striker’s situation. Liverpool paid around £130m to sign the player on deadline day but he has failed to live up to expectations.

Alexander Isak is having a hard time

He is still struggling with match fitness after missing all of pre-season due to his disagreements at Newcastle. The player has not looked sharp this season and he was comfortably outmatched by Hugo Ekitike.

Hamann has now claimed that if the Sweden international fails to deliver in March or April, Liverpool could likely discuss a possible sale at the end of the season. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.

He said (h/t The Mag): “If Alexander Isak doesn’t improve in March or April, Liverpool will likely hold talks to sell him to a club like Barcelona this summer. There will be plenty of suitors for Alexander Isak as he has shown his ability at Newcastle United.”

Isak is an exceptional player and he has proven that in the Premier League. In terms of form, he is the best striker in the Premier League. Liverpool will have to be patient with him.

The Sweden international is clearly struggling after missing pre-season, and perhaps he will be able to regain his form and confidence in the coming weeks. If he manages to reach top form, he could transform Liverpool’s attack. The technically gifted forward can operate anywhere in the front three and he could be a real asset to the club.

It seems highly unlikely that Liverpool will sanction their club record departure after just a few months at the club. The former Liverpool midfielder’s comments are just speculation and it will be difficult for any club to secure his services anytime soon.

Hamann believes that a club like Barcelona could be a potential destination for Isak. However, the Spanish team is facing financial constraints and it seems unlikely that they will be able to convince Liverpool with a suitable offer.
