Chris Johnston of the Athletic reports that Carter Hart will probably have a deal with an NHL team by October 1. He cannot sign it until October 15, but teams can talk to the goalkeeper while he can talk a return to the NHL to the NHL.
Among the teams that will not be in the mix, the Philadelphia are flyers, says Johnston.
The NHL Insider writes”His top priorities find a job with a clear opportunity to get a meaningful number of starts and play for a team that can win.” Johnston adds: “Hart is looking for a new start, which effectively excludes a return to Philadelphia.”

All other Canadian cities are also not in the running either. Johnston notes: “He will almost certainly go countries with a team located in the US, sources per competition.” That means that the Edmonton Oilers are also out. It is understandable that Hart will probably try to distance themselves from the recoil that will come to the Canadian market after he was part of a case of sexual allegations while he was a member of Team Canada. The attention is clear in cities such as Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal and others. His focus will be on hockey, play well and try to prove that he is able to get a contract after the short -term period that he signs.

Van Hart is expected to sign a NHL contract of two or three years. He will use the month from 15 October to 15 November to regain shape, probably a few AHL games with Lehigh Valley before he returns to the NHL at the beginning of December.
