One of the NTT IndyCar Series’ top drivers in 2025 will remain with Andretti Global, with Kyle Kirkwood signing a multi-year contract extension on Monday, November 3.

Kirkwood is a five-time IndyCar Series race winner, including three victories in 2025. That would have made him one of the biggest stories of the season, but Chip Ganassi Racing’s Alex Palou won an impressive eight races, including the 109.e Indianapolis 500.

“These are very exciting times for myself, Andretti Global and TWG Motorsports,” said Kirkwood. “I would first like to thank the entire team, especially Dan Towriss and Jill Gregory, for their confidence in me. We have had three great years together and our future together looks bright. We have proven to be real contenders, and most recently, championship contenders. Our trajectory has only improved and I am confident we will challenge for championships again.”

Kyle Kirkwood key to Andretti’s global success

Towriss is a co-owner of the team along with Mark Walter, owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who celebrated the World Series title by beating the Toronto Blue Jays in extra innings in Game Seven on November 1.

Gregory is the president of Andretti Global and has played a key role in guiding the team since former owner Michael Andretti transferred control of the team in September 2024.

Kirkwood will join IndyCar veteran and recently announced teammate Will Power, and Indianapolis 500 champion Marcus Ericsson for the 2026 IndyCar season, which kicks off on February 27 with the season opener on the streets of St. Petersburg.

Since joining Andretti in 2023, Kirkwood has recorded five wins, three poles and six podiums, leading more than 300 laps. His breakout 2025 season with wins at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, and back-to-back wins in Detroit, followed by his first oval win at World Wide Technology Raceway.

Kirkwood is a former INDY NXT by Firestone Champion with Andretti. Kirkwood remains the only driver to capture titles in all three developmental series (USF2000, USF Pro 2000 and INDY NXT) in consecutive years. His journey embodies the team’s framework for sustainable success, built on focus, discipline and a shared drive to take Andretti’s competitive and connected future to the next level.
